Bonus Episode: Interview with Lindze Merritt

Animazement 2012, as we’ll soon post in our report, was like doing a tour inside a classic pinball machine. I bounced and rolled, not knowing where I’d end up next…but wherever it was, there would only be bright celebrations of light, music, and spectacular visuals.

One of my highest scores was meeting up with cosplayer Lindze Merritt. This was her triumphant return to Animazement and she was sweet enough to set aside some time to chat with me about her experiences with cosplay, conventions, and Cosplay for a Cause. For more about Lindze, you can click on over to our previous interview.

I did get to meet some of the other cosplay models Cosplay for a Cause, though they were not available for the interview. Big thanks to Jennifer Barclay, Allison Rose, Catherine Jones, and everyone else for the great experience!

Aw, great job! Think you did a good job of being well-read on who you were interviewing and being nice n’ respectful.

I can’t believe Lindze gets to travel to other countries to cosplay!

Did you ever get your calendar autographed? :3

Thanks! I’m a genuine fan, so that had a lot to do with it…

And of course I got my calendar signed! By Lindze and Allison Rose. Lindze also signed an old Genki Hats business card of hers that I got from her when we first met many years ago…
